Brilliantly directed by Francis Lawrence and excellent acting by Will Smith but a disappointing end.

It was scary to see a bustling city like New York deserted. As the story slowly unfolded I was at the edge of my seat, totally engrossed and taken in by the character Robert Neville played by Will Smith. The interaction between him and his dog, the many experiences, dangerous situations they share, the intensity and stress they had to bear on a daily basis were beautifully shown.

The strangling of the dog by Robert Neville’s own hands before it turned into a blood thirsty zombie almost brought tears into my eyes. After which they introduced two other characters and the movie went down the drain pipe and ended in a very disappointing fashion.

PS: Apparently this is a remake of the movie The Omega Man and the book it is based on has an entirely different plot and ending.
