This is village life in its truest essence, a common sight in the rural areas here.
I remember once as a child I visited my uncle for the summer holidays at a village called Kalgundi, near Arisikere. I had been there a few times and this was yet another exciting visit. There were plenty of cows, oxen, calf, goats and hens in the neighborhood and I got to play with them a lot. Interstingly the cats and the dogs in the household seemed to get along with each other very well. I was amazed.
On a sunny afternoon, I got to man the bullock cart carrying water. I sat myself on the cylindrical metal tank that literally burnt my behind. The sun seemed to announce its presence from down below and not just above. I tried my best to keep a smile and rode the bullock cart as the assigned driver. I did not get to do it for long though
